Job Candidate Privacy Notice
This Job Candidate Privacy Notice (“Notice“) outlines the Personal Information (“Personal Information“*) that Optival Ltd. (“Optival“, “we“, “our” or “us“), collect and process from job candidates and applicants (“Candidates” or “you“) in relation to our recruitment process. Furthermore, this Notice explains why and how we collect this Personal Information, and how we use it, and informs Candidates about their rights regarding their Personal Information held with us. You are not required by law to provide us with Personal Information, but for the purpose of applying for a job at Optival, you required to share such Personal Information about yourself. If you refuse to provide such Personal Information, we may not be able to continue your application process at Optival.
*Personal Information– personally identified information, including but not limited to your contact information, email address, professional background information included in your CV.
Collecting Information.
The sorting process for working at Optival involves collecting Personal Information about you, which will be collected, among other things, in the following ways:
- Personal Information voluntarily provided by you: Personal Information voluntarily provided by you, including information detailed in your resume, your contact details, recommendations, and certificates.
- Personal Information from additional sources: Optival is authorized to collect Personal Information about you from third parties, including recruiting and placement companies, as well as recommenders (whose names will be provided by the Candidate with their knowledge and consent that Optival may contact them to request additional information about the Candidate).
How do we use your Personal Information?
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
- Evaluating Candidates’ applications for specific positions at Optival.
- Sorting Candidates for positions at Optival.
- Responding to your requests or inquiries for information.
- Future inquiries by Optival about positions that may be relevant to the Candidate, based on Optival’s considerations.
Disclosure of Information and Transfer of Data
Except as otherwise provided in this Notice, we reasonably attempt to ensure that we never intentionally disclose any of your Personal Information, to any third party without having received your permission, except as provided for herein or otherwise as permitted or required under law. For the purpose of our recruitment process, we may, from time to time, need to share your Personal Information with third parties. We may share your Personal Information with our affiliates, subsidiaries, third-party service providers, and individuals who help us store, manage, and maintain your Personal Information as well as evaluate your application process. For example, we may use “Comeet”, a recruiting and applicant tracking platform. Additionally, we may share your Personal Information with third parties who assist us in recruitment and placement processes, such as employee evaluation companies, recruiting agencies and human resource companies. These third parties can only use your Personal Information to enable us to consider and evaluate your application and are obligated to take protective measures to safeguard and maintain the confidentiality of your Personal Information. The above mentioned third parties may be located in countries other than your own, and we may send them information we receive. In case located abroad, you consent to the transfer of your Personal Information outside of Israel, when such is required for the purposes mentioned within this Notice.
We may also disclose your Personal Information, when required in connection with a corporate merger, consolidation, the sale of related assets or corporate division or other fundamental corporate changes. Furthermore, Personal Information about you may also be released in order to comply with any valid legal inquiry or process such as a search warrant, subpoena, statute, court order or any application by a supervising authority such as the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority.
Data Retention
Generally, Optival does not retain Personal Information longer than necessary to assess you as a candidate and for its reasonable business and lawful needs. If you withdraw your consent to us processing your Personal Information, we will erase your Personal Information from our systems, unless the Personal Information is required for Optival to establish, exercise or defend against legal claims.
